License terms

DRAFT. Not legal advice. These terms are a starting draft written for the site owner. Have a lawyer review and complete them before anyone is asked to agree to them, especially the reseller, revocation, refund and preloaded-content parts.

Last updated: October 30, 2026 (draft v3: box credit packs)

1. What you are buying

ChiTV Plus is licensed, not sold. You receive a license to use the ChiTV Plus app. You do not buy the software, its code, its design or its branding. George Ware owns ChiTV Plus and all rights in it.

2. Box credits and box licenses

  • Owner. George Ware controls everything behind the owner PIN, sells box credits, can switch off a buyer account or a box, and can set up boxes himself.
  • Box credits. Credits are sold in packs (for example 20, 50 or 100 boxes). One credit sets up (activates) one box. Credits do not expire [owner to confirm]. A buyer can buy more packs at any time; credits from all packs add up.
  • Box license. Each activated box has its own license, locked to that one box and to the buyer's brand name and logo. It does not expire and works without internet after it has been activated once.

3. Buying and using credits

  • Credits and seller codes are personal to the buyer. They cannot be transferred, shared or sold, and the seller version of the app cannot be resold or given to anyone else.
  • Activating a box needs the internet once and uses one credit. Activating the same box again (for example after a reset) does not use another credit. The brand name and logo are locked in at that moment and cannot be changed or removed afterwards, and ChiTV Plus credit notices stay in the app.
  • When a buyer has no credits left, no new boxes can be set up until more credits are bought. Boxes already activated keep working.
  • Each buyer has a Buyer dashboard showing credits bought, used and left and every box set up with their code.
  • The owner may switch off a buyer account (for example for breaking these terms, non-payment, or misuse). A switched-off buyer can't set up new boxes. Boxes already activated keep working unless the owner has chosen to switch them off for that buyer. Whether credits used on a box that is switched off are given back is [to be decided by the owner].
  • Buyers support their own customers, set their own retail prices, and give customers no admin access to the owner/seller area.
  • Pack prices and sizes are those shown on the site when you order, and may change for future orders. Credits already bought are not affected.

4. What you may not do

  • Copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease or sublicense the app, except for setting up licensed boxes with your own credits.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, re-sign or rebrand the app, or bypass or tamper with the license check.
  • Move a box license to another box, or share a seller code or credits.
  • Remove or change ownership notices, names or logos.
  • Use the app in a way that breaks the law or anyone else's rights.

5. Ready-made boxes sold by ChiTV Plus

A box bought directly from ChiTV Plus is a licensed box for use by you and your household, and can be linked with up to three other boxes in your home. It is set up by the owner, who is responsible for the content he puts on it. You may not resell or copy the preloaded content. [Owner and lawyer: confirm the rights to all preloaded content and how it is described.]

6. Content

The ChiTV Plus app itself does not include movies, TV shows or channels. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you put on your own drive. Names of third-party apps and services (for example Tubi or Pluto TV) belong to their owners and need their own internet access and terms. Buyers are responsible for any content they supply to their customers.

7. Honest limits of the license check

The license check runs inside the app and works without internet. It is designed to stop casual copying and sharing, but it cannot stop a determined person who rebuilds the software. Doing so breaks these terms.

8. Updates and support

Updates and support are provided as described at the time of purchase. Features can change. How long updates are provided for boxes already activated is [to be decided by the owner].

9. No warranty, limited liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, the owner is not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages, and total liability is limited to the price you paid.

10. Ending the license

A license ends if you break these terms. The owner may switch off or revoke it. You must then stop using the app and delete your copies. Refunds of unused credits, if any, are [to be decided by the owner].

11. Contact and governing law

Contact details and governing law: [to be completed by the owner with a lawyer].
